If you say which theatre it was I bet someone here knows who the techs were.

PS you don’t need to find an old computer, modern windows can still run most 32bit programs in compatibility mode, and then you just need a usb to serial adapter, I’ve had the most reliable experiences with support using the FTDI chipset ones:

I can vouch for this one, as I've purchased and use it, but any FTDI one should work:

And the D3000 should have 3 cards installed if complete, two at the top and one at the bottom, one for each slot.

Oh i didn't even think of that! It was the United Artists Seminole Towne Center 10 in Sanford FL. Opened in 95 or 96.

I tried using the compatibility options in Windows 10, but no matter what i tried (Windows 98, XP, Vista) it just keeps popping up a message saying the App cant run on this PC.

Do you remember what version of Windows you had it last running on and/or what compatibility setting you used? I do have a Windows 8 PC in storage, maybe that might work with the compatibility settings.

Good to know about that adapter. I will definitely pick that one up. Also good to know about the 3 cards. I'll make sure whatever unit i get from ebay has all 3.

Apologies, I actually haven't run those programs and assumed they would behave as nicely as things like the CP650 setup software... they do not (at least on windows 10). Might require an older machine as you suggested, or running a VM or emulator to get them operational.
