If you say which theatre it was I bet someone here knows who the techs were.
PS you don’t need to find an old computer, modern windows can still run most 32bit programs in compatibility mode, and then you just need a usb to serial adapter, I’ve had the most reliable experiences with support using the FTDI chipset ones:

And the D3000 should have 3 cards installed if complete, two at the top and one at the bottom, one for each slot.
