IMS 1000 ingest from laptop

Hey guys,

On all my GDC servers, I can ingest from a laptop or desktop computer. Is it true that you can't with the IMS1000? I've been in contact with Dolby support because I thought the username and password were wrong. They aren't sure it can be done. Any ideas?

You should be able to push content to the server using FTP. The user is ingest and you should be able to figure out the password. To pull content, you'd need to set up your laptop as an FTP server (Leo has posted about doing that on Windows machines and possibly others) and then create, via Ingest Manager create that as a location.
