I have noticed it drifting (it's currently about 11 mins ahead), but rebooting and readjusting the BIOS puts it back to only being 3 mins ahead. It would be nice to truly fix it if there's a non-scary way (I assume it's replacing the battery, something I don't want to do but could maybe call our service tech for). It's our only server and if it fries we'd have to close down for awhile. Renovations are happening so I'm really just hoping to milk the server and projector (Christie CP2000-ZX) until we can install something new.
Yeah that is definitely the motherboard bios battery as Caleb stated. Same as on a regular PC, very easy to replace if accessing the unit is easy, as you've got a dead bios battery I expect there is nothing else critical in the bios that needs adjustment after or you'd already be experiencing problems due to that.

The topic of the thread was secure clock devices and dealing with out of bounds offsets to correct those, more involved and relates to key decryption. Once you sort your bios time and battery you can check if you have NTP configured to correct secure clock, if not maybe you are experiencing drift that can be corrected within bounds (or out of bounds with dobly's help). If you have a contract with a tech they can always do this for you.
