  • Christie CP2220 to CP2210 swap

Hello, I've had an electrical issue with the 2220 at my theatre that's damaged the IMB board, and I'm not looking to replace it atm if I can get away with it. I had a spare 2210 laying around that I was able to swap out, but I'm not able to fill my whole screen with that lens. Is there any way I can use the lens from the 2220 on the 2210? Or possibly buy one that would work? Here are what the lens say on them:

    2220-pgBFL 116.5mm DLP cinema 2.5/35.2-51.6mm Konica minolta 1.25-1.83:1(1.13-1.66:1 4k)zoom hb

    2210- pgBFL 85mm DLP cinema 2.5/26.7-38.95mm Konica minolta avox-427 1.2-1.75:1 zoom

I'm a computer guy know what I'm doing with the machines, and networking, and maintaining the actual servers, but I havent been around the projectors themselves enough to really know what I'm doing. Just trying to keep things running on these as long as I can while we save up to upgrade from showvaults and 2210s to something a bit more modern. I appreciate any advice you guys can give

Why not swapping the IMBs instead of the projectors ? It is not possible to use the lens from the 2220 on the CP2210, since the projectors have different lens mounts and DMD panel sizes.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he doesn't want to possibly fry another IMB if he believes its an electrical issue within the 2220

Nah I was thinking it wasnt possible. The cards are oriented differently, and look differently for some reason, but after checking it looks like I can just swap cards. Electrical issue's been resolved. I'll take an IMB from one of my spares. I've got a few of these with dead batteries, any idea if those are just garbage at this point? I probably need to replace the batteries on some of the others, is there any documentation or can you point me to where I can find documentation?

You need to confirm wether you are talking about IMB or ICP. Your projectors may contain both, or only an ICP.
If you are actually talking about IMBs, then what type is it?

Pretty sure its just one card with the doremi logo on it. Looking at the dolby support documents, it looks like IMB-2k-C

If they are Doremi IMBs and their batteries actually ran empty, they are toast.
