Recliners Catch On Fire at AMC Theater in Cleveland
Recliners Catch On Fire at AMC Theater in Cleveland
Part of a row of recliners went up in flames at a Cleveland AMC movie theater a few days ago. No info yet as to if it was arson or a defect in the seats. But they did say the seat wiring is being inspected.
Just another of the hundred reasons not to go to an AMC Location. Recliners suck too!

I know those recliner seats were giving AMC managers migraine-size headaches due to the bedbug infestations, but surely there's got to be a better solution than this, no? There is, but don't call me Shirlee.
What happens when you turn D-BOX seating up to 11?
It changes the point of view from Bond to the Vodka Martini. If you turn it up to 12, it will tear a hole in the space time continuum, everything that happens after that is pure speculation.
They're comfortable sure. But not easy to clean under or in. And made of a lot of plastic, much more than plain tilt seat chairs. I doubt that a failure in the seat mechanism started the fire, but whatever did there's a fair bit of basic fuel in the cushions and upholstery - and who knows how much oily popcorn under and in the chairs?
