My top fonts have been (for some time):
    • Helvetica (it is just an inspired font and darn near perfect for what it is). There are a couple of characters I don't like...such as "Q" but for the most part, it just deserves the praise it gets. It was my go-to font even when I did typeset.
    • Optima (it's the best hybrid font for me).
    • Times New Roman
    • New Century Schoolbook (I don't use it as much as I once did but I don't write papers as much either).
    • Tekton (it is one of my "fancy" fonts and I do admit to using it some in drawings). I have other, for a particular purpose, fonts but the more out there they are the less they can be used.
A lot of my other fonts (and I have a bit of a collection) have ended up being distilled into Helvetica and Optima or Times. I'd probably use New Century Schoolbook over Times but that would mean loading it onto more places and I don't have it as portable.

Bobby will likely fill a page on the fonts he uses.

Helvetica, Tiresias LPfont and Amazon Ember for browser displays. (New York for serif text, because Times New Roman.)

    "PX437 VGA Squarepx" for terminals.

I used to use Bell Gothic for annotating hiking trail maps but in recent years I've found GE Inspira (which you might recognise if you've bought anything General Electric branded within the last 15 years) a much better choice since it's clearer to read at a quick glance rucking in the Cascades at a good pace.

Of course, I think we all know what Bobby Henderson's probably going to say is his preferred font

    Your favourite font choices

Here's a fun question that just popped into my head.

    What's your favourite and/or most-used font?

For myself, I use Times New Roman for almost everything that I do with a word processor, and when reading ebooks and the like. For programming and stuff on a terminal where a fixed-width font is more useful, I use Luxi Mono.

    Maybe I'm boring....
