Hey all. So I have a rather insane collection of reanimated AN/TVS-3 military searchlights that use the IMax Superior Quartz SX20000-D liquid cooled 20kW xenon lamp with different fittings. Check out https://projectflashlight.org
As this is an art project, we try to economize, and $8000 lamps are a significant expense!
IMax lamps are swapped out at the end of warranty period (like 400 hours) as the consequences of failure take down a projector hard. For our use the lamps still have a fair amount of life left - we run at reduced power, in strong enclosures, and monitor.
We would love your expired (intact) lamps! We'll pay shipping, provide a legal waiver of liability, and maybe a Burning Man ticket...\
