    There's a lot of other stuff more-or-less silly stuff here but the project description for the C64 quantum computing project starts on page 203.

    Doesn't look like they are going to reach absolute zero that way...?

      They apparently built a cartridge to hold the program, which is one way to free up more ram in the computer to do the actual computation with. I wonder why they didn't put it on a floppy since you can do overlays from a disk file on a C64; it would naturally have been many times slower (since the 1541 is a notoriously slow drive due to its bus design) but it would have looked cooler and given the project that much more cachet.

      Oh well. What do I know....
