Brad Miller, on your main page you state:

Film may be a 4 letter word, but at least it's reliable. Just ask anyone at the Warner Brothers DLP presentation at ShoWest!

I'm asking. What happened?

Hey guys,

WB had a special digital showing of Miss Congeniality 2 and they had some problems with the presentation. For some reason my link won't work so scroll down to the Showest 2005 (film-tech drink info) under the Film-Yak forum, for the rest of the story.

Kurt

At least I've heard that the Kodak Digital Cinema screenings went well. [Cool]

Kodak Digital Cinema at ShoWest

quote:
Please join Kodak Monday, March 14, for "An Evening of Independent Film" featuring a special digital pre-show and full-feature digital experience, at the Century Orleans 18 Theatre. Screenings at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., with a reception following the first screening.

Ongoing demonstrations of the Kodak Digital Cinema Solution during tradeshow hours in Palace Room 3 at Bally's (across from the tradeshow floor). RSVP for Monday night or schedule a day/time to visit the Kodak demo room.

If "film" is a four letter word, so is "chip". Kodak knows alot about both. [Smile]

I missed the Sony 4K SXGA demos at ShoWest. Just got my NAB badge today--hopefully Sony will have their 4K running there next month. I know Kodak and JVC will have their 2K stuff running.

This year NAB will once again present their two-day Digital Cinema Summit. One of this year's highlights will be a thorough examination of the recently completed DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative) specifications. The summit will be presented by SMPTE and USC's ETC. I can't afford to go to this, but I'll get crib notes on it eventually.
