I've searched to see if this problem has been presented before, could'nt find any, so here goes... I've run out of cardboard take-up cores and cant get the Film Guard plastic cores to fit on my take-up spindles. These can be used like this, right? I can force them on, but they will not spin free when rewinding.Any suggestions?

Steve Guttag at Cardinal Sound has come up with a far superior replacement rubber insert than Kelmar provides. I suggest ordering some through Cardinal. They are really cheap.

In the meantime, if you email me off site I can send you some larger cores to use on your takeup.

Remember, when removing the media from the cleaner, NEVER remove the takeup core! That is what screws up the rubber inserts and how parts get lost too. Simply loosen the thumbscrew and yank the media off.
