On a few of the SDDS-equipped installations I visit, I have found a problem with loose sprocket set-screws. I have, however been unable to find the proper allen (U.S or Metric) or torx key to fit this set-screw.

Anyone got an idea what size tool is needed to fit this screw?

BTW, anyone else notice you can't edit your spelling on the Topic heading?

The Sprocket on the 2000 is actually a LaVezzi sprocket. The set screw shouldn't be a strange size and I think it is english. Perhaps your allen key set is not complete? Or perhaps the set screw has been stripped.

Can you find a wrench you can get machined to the correct size?
If not, replace them with slotted screws & use those jewler's
type screwdrivers.

Just checked my manual....

It is a 10-24 x 3/16" set screw...therefore, you should be able to find an allen key to fit it in a standard set.

Turns out Steve was right (so what else is new?). It is a 10-24 thread, driven by a 3/32 allen key. The balled end on the long end of the Chesco allen keys dosen't seem to touch it, but the standard key does.
