That means, we may have some time bombs in our library. I hope they tie these VFs to all new KDMs so that every booking of these titles also gets a new VF with the KDM.

I took some time to give a look at recent CPLs distributed in Italy (and that probably will be programmed again during summer) and I found at least 20 CPLs affected (between them a Barbie EN-XX OV and various Oppenheimer CPLs...).
It seems that at least two mastering units had certificates expiring on December 30 2023 (sn 1101 and 1102)

We received german VFs and (obviously) new KDMs this afternoon right in time for our early Wonka show. The new OV/EN5.1/7.1 versions did not make it to us until very late in the evening, so I screened that through our not-affected Barco. So, essentially, we had quite a bit of a turmoil technically, but no losses.

My SR1000 are 2K with 17.3 build 36 (latest) installed.

No reports from Sony users (but I have only few of them and probably screening contents from other than Deluxe)

Same issues with Wonka and Aquaman, on my five GDC SR-1000 (installed in Christie S2 projectors). All stopped playing on 30.12 the two titles, with no certificate listed on "Content" page. Indeed the only Doremi DCP2000 on that site had no issues playing them...

Interesting! I think the ATMOS frames have audio with a 48 kHz sample rate, and the sync signal coming in over AES/EBU also has a 48 kHz sample rate. So... 16 kHz is interesting.

    Thanks!

This is because the Atmos error display shows this problem

Atmos Error (Dolby Atmos audio not available) will appear on ims3000+cp850

I have seen this happening before on Sony and Barco ICMP systems when the signers certificate validity window of the KDM or CPL is either expired or set too long into the future. It's a dirty bug, as this is different from the KDM playback validity window, which is still indicated correctly. Everything is 'green', but when trying to play back the CPL, the Sony indicates a typical error. This only happens with SMPTE DCPs, as strict validity enforcement is not in place for encrypted Interop DCPs.
Barco fixed this issue a while ago on the ICMP at least for signers certificates that are valid too long into the future:

    Release notes

    build: 28205
    Changes:
    • Support of signer certificate validity above 2049 for CPL and KDM

I already signaled MPS about this. The files that need to be fixed are small and could be sent to KDM email addresses in seconds, no full DCP retransfer would be necessary. So, if they get the signer certificate validity fixed, this could be solved for tomorrows shows.

    Hi Everyone,
Universal has sent an email to all exhibitors in Australasia, informing them of the potential issue with Wonka and Aquaman. About Ninety percent of my Customer base is using GDC. As of yet I haven't received any calls and we are at 15.00hr 1/1/2024 NZDT. Hopefully it remains this way.

    Cheers Fraser

Indeed they are. Other recent Deluxe titles like Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom appear to have the same certificate issue, as well.

Other titles, in addition to WONKA that won't play here are:
American Fiction, Ferrari , When Harry Met Sally, Burn It Down- The Boy & Heron
    (both dubbed & subtitled versions)
and I"m still checking our library to see what
    works & what doesn't
Are all these movies released by Deluxe?
