I need a few hundred of these and refuse to pay Dell or other suppliers upwards of $3 each for a damned hard drive screw. Dell part number WN322.

6-32 thread, 5/32" dia. X 1/8" len. shoulder, 3/16" len. thread

Found a very close match here, but would prefer a screw with a Phillips head although it's not a deal breaker.

Suggestions? No phone calls, please. [Razz]

I do some side work for a buddy of mine who deals in used computers and I may be able to get you quite a few. He has a huge box full of various screws including what you're looking for. He'll probably be willing to see them by the pound. I'll check with him tomorrow.

Adam, are you sure that's the quantity price? And not the per-each price?

If you are ordering a few hundred you should be able to get them down to under $1 each. (Especially since the ones you linked are stainless and around $0.58 each in 200 lot).

This is something where a call to your local McMaster-Carr can get you the right price, as the sales reps can get quantity pricing that wouldn't show up on web orders.

I think you won't find them much cheaper than $1.00 each from most vendors.

Or it might even be cheaper to order them in 500 or 1,000 piece quantity...and then sell the rest on eBay.
