What's the deal with Universal? They are actually taking a couple of huge chances this spring.

"Paul" -- a "Hangover"-style comedy starring a CG alien...and it's rated R. There is going to be a legion of kids wanting to see this one...I can hear the parental excuses forming already.

"Hop" -- a kids' animated movie starring a cute bunny...and it's not 3D!? Actually it looks kind of cool and inventive, so I'm looking forward to it as long as we can get it by Easter.

"The Adjustment Bureau" -- looks like a page from the "Inception" playbook crossed with parts of the "Men in Black" idea.

I'm looking forward to all 3 of these. Add in "Fast Five" and "Cowboys and Aliens" and "Bridesmaids" and it looks like a pretty good spring/summer for them.

I saw a sneak of Adjustment Bureau. I really liked it, and hope it brings back the hat!

Movies! MOVIES! M O V I E S ! Everyone should always have one to look forward to."

-- 1-sheet MPAA promo campaign, circa 1976. It was a GREAT campaign; we should have more like it.

I wish I had one of these 1-sheets saved in my old 1-sheet stash, but I don't, so I constructed one using Photoshop and the HP large scale printing tile thing. It's been hanging in one of our outdoor frames on the walkway up to the theatre this entire season.
