I stumbled upon an old Simplex E-7 while I was perusing the Denver Craigslist. So If anyone here lives in a nearby area, and would like to have a functional Carbon-Arc, it's $600. I would buy it myself, but don't have the money to do so. Maybe It will still be posted when my tax returns come around. Here is the link. Simplex

Way too old and "Simplex-y" for my tastes. Now if it were a Century SA or JJ (not C)...

I've never experienced a Century SA. I agree with you on the JJ however. I would like to get it just to learn how to use a Carbon-Arc though. Honestly, I think those older Simplex's are the hardest damn things to thread. My fingers weren't built to shove film in that tight of spaces.
