I see alot of them for sale at State Surplus! I always wondered about them myself. I've had too good of luck with my Dell to have any interest in switching.

I have the CF72 toughbook, been using since the year 2000, had windows 98 when 1st got, now use professional XP, I have dropped it, tripped over the ac cord pulled it onto the floor from a AW3 middle platter, did this twice, both time, reboot all OK....yes it is a tough...it bounces around in my truck & still works...will not allow the Strong SCDC program to work with the USB, I can't check any SCDC brains but all else works....I would buy another one when the time comes...expensive, but worth it !!!

works great with the R2 never tried on the D2, I have (2) of these laptops, one travel in the truck for Cinema work, & the other is my mobile office when I traveling. both are nines yrs. old & still kicking, both been dropped at least three times at a height of three feet, no problems, I would buy another one when the time comes just because it is tough...
