Any other cinemas doing a midnight of Inglourious Basterds? When my managers presented the news to me I just gave him an insanely blank stare followed by the comment: "You expect people to come see a movie on a work night, the weekend before school starts, and stay until 3am?"

We ran a midnight of Watchmen during the school year. That was only 9 min. shorter. I haven't heard whether we're doing one for Inglourious Basterds yet, but I hope not, aside from a couple titles, we generally don't do well with midnight showings.

we aren't showing it at midnght either. We did have midnights of D-9 and Time Travelers Wife last week, they didnt do too great. We sold out Harry Potter's midnight show when it came out a few weeks ago...1200 seats. Personally I cant wait for Inglorious Basterds [thumbsup]

Were doing it, we do midnights for all movies though and we do well every week so its a give in that this will do well for us. My guess is we do north of 800 people for this one.

Not here, we officially ceased midnight shows for good as of last night, August 21. This brings to an end 13 years of post-12:00 movies on the weekends. We will still do special engagements, but in our area, midnights are now a thing of the past. Truthfully, they died years ago . . .
