Other reports are saying Jackson is in a coma, perhaps a severe coma from several minutes or longer without oxygen due to cardiac arrest.

Why do I get the feeling his death is going to have the same affect on internet forums as Steve Irwin's? People are already acting the same "No, we don't know he's dead, it is just a rumor."

CNN.com is saying he is dead now and that he was in a coma. Shocking, but not terribly tragic.

Yes, the L.A. Coroner's office finally gave official confirmation of the news.

Sad news, but not very surprising considering all the turmoil surrounding the guy's life over the last decade. One report said Jackson was $500 million in debt.

At 4pm today on the radio, the announcer mentions of paramedics rushing him to a hospital since he had a cardiac arrest...

..then the wife calls me and said that he died....

"Whoo!" what a week for the "Threes": Ed McMahon on Tuesday at the age of 86, Fawcett Thursday at the age of 62, and now, Jackson also on Thursday at the age of 50.

I bet all of the pressures related to that horrible debt finally overwhelmed him...

..signs of the times...

They always die in threes. Recently however they have been dying in bigger groups it seems. Maybe this week will bring four. I hope not.

CNN is reporting he is back from the dead, ready to reinact Thriller.

Ok, bad joke. There goes my favorite childhood singer. I'll have to break out the E.T. and MJ box set I have on LP tonight. R.I.P

Wow. We lose Ed McMahon this week. And now Farrah. They say tragedies happen in threes. I hate to think of who could be next.
Well, now we know. [Frown]

Chad...you may not have liked him but someone has indeed died who was someone's son, brother, father and this thread is about that person.

Show some respect, will you?

Well, now we know
A bunch of folks tried to add Goldblum as a fourth, with rumours of his death here in New Zealand. Nothing but a hoax, move along, nothing to see...
