It's been announced from the 1st of June but for anyone who has still not heard it Lucasarts is rereleasing the first Secret Of Monkey Island game with new graphics, 1080i HD definition (stop wining Joe about making it just 1080i and not p), sound and interface as well as keeping the old game engine behind it so you can either play the new version or the old version. Telltales is releasing a new 5 part episodic Monkey Island called Tales Of Monkey Island which is not Monkey Island 5 but an episodic series of events happening after a hypothetical Monkey Island 5! Good news as they had Ron Gilbert, the original designer give brainstorm and feedback on both projects so will this mean that a special edition Monkey Island 2 is on the way and that perhaps the final secret be revealed by Ron Gilbert! We will see.
