Cinematographer Jack Cardiff died on Wednesday, aged 94. He worked on the Powell and Pressburger films 'The Red Shoes', The Black Narcissus' and 'A Matter of Life and Death', and also other Technicolor films, such as 'The Great Mr. Handel'.

I met him a couple of times; a nice man, and he was still working until quite recently.
