Just saw a commercial on Sunday Night Football where Taco Bell's chief executive announced the e-coli outbreak is over!

Is it actually a good thing to make such an announcement on national TV? Does it make me want to make a run to the border for a grilled steak stuffed burrito? Not really. I'm now thinking of that e-coli crap and trying to figure out how it could wind up on veggies. Unwashed veggies. Veggies with animal shit and piss on them.

I'm not hungry anymore.

I am amazed that anyone eats at Taco Bell in the first place. They don't even sell cheeseburgers! Since they are not KFC (the only fast food place that can get away with not selling burgers), they are 100% useless.

So, if you catch E.Coli from eating contaminated food the usual symptom is a case of the "Screaming Shits". Right?

When I eat at Taco Bell, I usually get the shits even when the food ISN'T contaminated.

So, how would I know the difference? [Roll Eyes]

Del Taco is great because they know they're not in any way Mexican food, and they're not trying. "Of the" Taco? Please. They sell burgers, too! Just for Joe. I could eat the Macho Chicken Burritos forever. Excellent fries, too.

Taco Bell is okay. But they don't have "'Beyond Hot' Del Scorcho" hot sauce, which is mildly tangy and not in any way actually hot. [Smile]

I worked there in my younger days (Del Taco). When Del Scorcho came out, it was friggin' hot. They tamed it down to closer to their Hot Sauce, and introduced Mild (which was the same as the old Hot).

Taco Bell's chicken sucks ass. I MUCH prefer Del Taco's, and having seen the behind the scenes at Del Taco for 3+ years, I still eat there. If you have ever worked at a restaurant of any kind, that's saying a lot.

His screen presence wasn't exactly convincing, was it?

The Naugles I remember from my childhood became a Green Burrito. I haven't heard the name Naugles in forever! I must be old. What a silly name for a burrito joint, I now realize.

The story I got was Naugles was the surname of an ex-Del Taco employee that started his own biz based on the Del Taco Menu...and after he became successful, sold the chain to Del Taco.

Pancho Taco, they used to be sooo goood. Too bad that was back in the 80's. As a kid, I'd love to eat there. No trots either.
