I just wanted to say that since I finally had a little time to peruse the FT site again! As for an update..I am now enjoying retirement and found a nice local job working daylight hours! I've moved out of the theatre and the building is pending sale. I still have tons of equipment and parts to get rid of..otherwise the family is healthy and I miss the road! I will be lurking in the background so don't be surprised if I pipe up once in a while!! And a hearty Hello to Brad and my other longtime friends here!!! Happy new year too! Hey you ole mule.... what've you been up too? How's the new job(and teeth)working out? All I ever see of you any more is an occasional listing on E-Bay...... and you're only a few hours away! Hopefully you will close on the property and just take it easy for a while.... you deserve too. Since you left the road I've been on it more and more but I don't mind it a bit. The places are all wonderful and the people at the stops are all great and some have become good friends. I know you will miss that part of the job. Anyway have a Happy New Year and a great 2006.....

Mark

HI John, and congrats in your "new career." I know that we've never met even though you've been in this area of the state many-a-times (and I'm taking care of Alice's drive in in Caldwell for her..), but when it's time to hang it up and realize all of the good things that are still to be had, it's time go after them while the good health is in your favor.

Good luck to you - Monte

Howdy! Thanks for the kind words! Mark..The 'new' job... I am working as a counter salesman / work scheduler for the Windo welder, we specialize in repairs and replacement of all types of automotive glass. It is a nice inside job! I ride a desk 8 hrs a day and a short commute of 15 miles! Pay is good, retirement plan, etc...plus weekends and holidays off! With no more after hours fone calls!! (Big sigh of relief) after 30 years of being on call 24hrs 7 days a week! My 'new' teeth are great! It is fun to be able to eat all the good things I like again! I'm glad you are enjoying the road! I do miss the nice folks out there that I have dealt with through the years! Please tell them Hi next time you see them! As for the rest of you renegades...glad to hear all is well!!! Now that I actually have delegated time for things I can keep an eye on you guys!
I will try and schedule a few days off to go to Vegas this year..I miss that!! It is nice to have time for my radio hobby and the old Dodge 4x4 trucks!! It is also different being in a real house! Not the back of the theatre!!! Happy new year to all!! John
