Entertainment Weekly this week published a few recommendations for bathroom breaks while watching "King Kong," as follows:

TOILET BREAKS

At 187 minutes, KONG will test your bladder capacity. (Forget supersize sodas.) So when can a viewer run to the restroom? Here's an estimated guide: If you hate schmaltz, jump during a romantic scene. The squeamish should dash during midmovie icky parts.

35 minutes in: Ann and Jack start flirt interlude. Ten minutes to Skull Island!

101 minutes in: First giant-bug-scene alert; 120 seconds later, the dino brawl begins.

114 minutes in: Long bug scene! Four full minutes till the gross-out's over.

139 minutes in: Driscoll mistily watches his play. Hurry: Kong's back in just two minutes.

I think these should be posted in lobbies along with similar ones for other movies. (Maybe a new forum on here, BATHROOM BREAK RECOMMENDATIONS, would be an idea!)

That's funny. Of course I also found their 107 minute running time amusing too. [Cool] Here is a suggested modification to that list.

TOILET BREAKS

At 107 minutes, KONG will test your bladder capacity.

101 minutes in: An unexpected film break. Oh no! Don't worry, the projectionist should have it fixed up and back on screen without any missed footage in approximately 10 minutes.

114 minutes in: Long bug scene! Four full minutes till the gross-out's over.

139 minutes in: Driscoll mistily watches his play. Hurry: Kong's back in just two minutes.

I managed to make it through the entire movie without having to go pee. Got lucky on that one as I normally have the bladder of a 4-year-old.

Oops, that '107' was a typo on my part. Of course, it should be 187. Will fix.

Yea, change the order around to where "show first then dinner." Then the bladder can relax a bit.

Don't worry none of you will make it past reel 2 anyway, so then you have 146 min. to take care of buisness before the crowd bursts into the john..... There won't be enough urinals to accomodate them, so after you've been in there 145 min get the hell out of there....

Or, go see it in a cinema with the sense to put an intermission in!

Watched it last night, there's probably a decent 2hr15m film in there, as it's stands it's way too long, many was the time I sat there rather bored. Luckily I saw it in the beautiful Cameo in Edinburgh so I'd something to look at other than the screen.

I don't get people, maybe because I'm only 22 and if I go to the bathroom before the movie starts like a good little boy and even if I drink a large soda I still don't have to go the bathroom so bad that I gotta run out of a moive. I don't know maybe its just me...who knows

Usually, when I go into an auditorium to check the status of a film (and of course, to enjoy 5 minutes of work on the subconscious level) someone will immediately get up. When I worked in stadium theatres, they'd walk (or run) straight into me, even if i was wearing a white t-shirt! It's a curse.
