Tim's daughter, Allison, was tragically killed in a car crash Friday afternoon in Lincoln county, KY. She was a passenger in a vehicle with two other people, when the driver lost control and hit a telephone pole. The driver and Allison were pronounced dead at the scene. The third passenger survived. No one was wearing seat belts. The roads were slick, so it does not necessarily mean they were speeding.

Allison was only 18 years old. She'd graduated high school a year early in 2004, and was going to the University of Kentucky next year to become a registered nurse.

The funeral will be this Wednesday at Milward Funeral Home, 391 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY 40503. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday, Dec. 20th. Funeral will be at 1:30pm on Wednesday, Dec. 21st. If anyone can make the services, I am sure Tim and his family could use the support.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Tim,
I'm so very sorry to hear of this extremely sad event. My heartfelt condolences go out to you and the others of your family as well as her friends.

As we talked about our kids (In another thread), she was a great person with a bright future.

I wish you strength to get through this difficult time and my prayers are with you.

I pass my condolences as well. It is the worst when a child passes before a parent.

Wow. I really don't know what to say other than I am very sorry to hear of this, and I hope you and your family the best in dealing with this.

A few months back a friend of mine's nephew, 20 or 21 I believe was killed in a car accident when he ran into a tree (he was speeding and he loved doing so). Also killed was his girlfriend who was 17 or so, I think. I don't recall if they were wearing their seatbelts or not. It makes you think.

Tim,
My condolences to you and the family. I can not imagine what you are feeling right now but with faith you will make it through this most difficult time.

Not that this makes it any easier, keep in mind that Allison is in a better place now and she will be your gaurdian angel. always looking over your shoulder, as you likely did for her as she grew up...

Tim,

My prayers go out to you and your family. No parent should ever have to bury a child. May God give you any extra strength you need.

This is very sad indeed. An 18 year old girl that worked at my old theater died the same way. A very tragic reminder to us all that tomorrow has no guarantee.
