An old organist in L.A. says Glenn Close told him of her having a conversation at the Byrd Theatre with organist Eddie Weaver while she was living? in Richmond. Nobody here seems to have any knowledge of her having been in these parts, much less being at the theatre. Weaver died in 2000. Anybody know whether she went to school here or otherwise lived here?

Thanks, Bill

She was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. According to Googled bios, she went to the College of William and Mary, which is halfway between Richmond and Norfolk. Haven't seen anything about her living in Richmond proper.

I made this inquiry about 30 minutes too soom. Turns out the theatre g.m. has a friend who he remembered mentioning having been acquainted with Close. She went to William & Mary in Wmsbg. about 60 miles from Richmond and came to Richmond nearly every weekend. She spoke with organist Eddie Weaver often.
