Is anyone else in here a hockey fan? I'm a season-ticket holder of the Atlanta Thrashers. Home opener was last night (8-1 Win over the Caps ... sold out).

I like the Avalanche, but only when they win or get their necks broken.

I earned my red wings. It's been a long time since that happened. But there you go.

Yes, the Colorado Avalanche is a good team. I have a Peter Forsberg NHL jersey. It was a Christmas gift. I was shocked at the price those things fetch. Expensive.

The Dallas Stars are good sometimes. Dallas fans were so lucky. Only a couple years after the Minnesota Northstars re-locate down there, they win a Stanley Cup. Normally a city home to a relocated team or new expansion team has to wait 68 years before they finally get good and win.

During my time at a TV station in Georgia, the main sportscaster guy there would only run one hockey story at all during the year, and that was the final result of the Stanley Cup Championship. His attitude was the sport must use a ball to qualify as a sport. A puck does not qualify. This was coming from a fellow whose first name was "Ducky." I shit you not.

Well, judging by the thrashing Atlanta took tonight (9-1 Toronto) I'd say you can probably count Atlanta out as one of the best.

Give me a break Daryl. Even a Jr. HS team of 13 y/o's could kick Atlanta's butt!

I'm talking *REAL* teams like the Wings and Black Hawks!

Only losers who lived in Detroit would like the Wings. They should move to Buffalo.

All we hear about here in Pittsburgh is how the Penguins are once again a powerhouse team now that we have a teenager named Crosby in the line up. [Roll Eyes] Christ, I remember when radio stations would give away free tickets to Penguins games just to get people to call in answers to bullshit trivia questions.

...and no body called.
