The last chain to operate the Los Angeles Theatre was Metropolitan Theatres, they closed the theatre back in 1994. It has been used for the location shoots and the yearly Last Remaining Seats film series. The staff was mainly Spanish speaking. I worked it in the early 90's.

We're looking for former employees of the Theatre who might be able to do a brief interview for a television program. Are you still based in the LA area? Do you have any stories from working at the theatre, or especially any stories about ghost sightings or paranormal activities there? If you'd like to e-mail me please do and I can telephone you to discuss the show.

Wow! Estover is now a centre of the TV industry? Speaking as someone who once lived on the estate behind Derriford Hospital, I'm impressed. Say hello to Mutley Plain for me, and the kebab shop on Novorossisk Road which turned out to be responsible for all the local pets going missing, not to mention Efford Crematorium...
