This is not meant to be a political oriented thread. It needs no discussion!

I just hope that all eligible voters get out to the polls tomorrow and exercise their right!

Ummm.. If I vote tomorrow I would probably be charged with voter fraud since I already voted absentee.

I spent the weekend distributing campaign literature in our election district, and will be staffing the "Get out the vote" phone banks tonight. [thumbsup]

I also enjoyed the Green Bay Packers win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday football. [Wink]

By all accounts, there will be a record turnout at the polls this year --- Your vote is important: be a part of history.

Voting is overrated! People should be shot. Especially the people at the schools and the libraries with their "you need to register booths"... stalking my every move... "Have you registered?" ahh "NO!". "But it only takes 5 minutes." And then I just keep walking. It feels great. [Razz] [Big Grin] What I love more is when they think I'm too young or not a citizen. So I just breeze right on by.

Generally, it is voter registration that gets you into jury duty too.

My hope is that one of 'em wins by a margin sufficient to keep it out of the courts, everywhere. Yeah, it's getting me duty in Dec. or Jan.

I haven't missed any votes (including all the piddly local things which actually have a more direct impact on my life and cost/quality of living). Still, I've never been called for jury duty --knock on wood. Even if I got called for jury duty, I'd probably just amplify the asshole part of my personality and be allowed to go back to work.

Jen:

Having taught political science in high school for over 30 years, I can only tell you what I told all the students over the years who do not register and who do not vote: I'm not upset with your decision. It only makes my vote count even more.

Just keep right on "breezin on" Jen. Others will decide your fate.
