I am afraid of Erick Akers' beard.

I am afraid that guy who is supposed to close the curtain in 10 minutes has fallen asleep.

I am afraid of someday running a movie & having Brad Miller & Steve Guttag suddenly show up during a reel, flatten the light better, pull out 2 more fL of light, adjust the lens somehow to create perfect focus all the way across & up & down, knock the pickup sound head backhand to get 3khz more HF frequency response, & then look at me in a marked manner.

I am very afraid that the hurricane may have destroyed Thomas Procyk's computer, eliminating access to his life-sustaining internet pornography.

I am afraid of Mark Gulbrandsen's service van, which contains all the usual ton of service crap plus 200 different platter motors, 40 matched pairs of mirrors for different lamphouses, Norelco lamp tables & gates, and a full machine shop.

I am afraid of driving across Mississippi with someone who will ask me to pronounce the name of the Tchoutacabouffa River.

I am afraid that someone soon will go upside Jack Valenti's head, & we will all be hauled in for questioning.

I am afraid my neighbor's yapping dog has been tied to the doorknob of the Korean restaurant down on Airport Boulevard.

I'm afraid of the evil booth monkey who gradually makes his way around from projector to projector and causes havoc of a technical nature. Every booth has one, but ours is particularly sly. (The 35mm guys have insinuated that we IMAX folk own and cage the monkey ... if that's the case, then our monkey has turned on his owners, too!) Frightening.

I'm afraid that there were actually people who thought Catwoman in IMAX was a good idea.

I'm afraid I'm not thinking of a great response and it's only after I post that I'll think of it.

EDIT: [Smile] I'm afraid of the Post Your Beliefs Here thread. [Razz]

I am afraid of thrown prints.

I am afraid of customers gaining entry to the booth and accosting me whilst I thread up.

I am afraid of late starts.

I am afraid of mustard on the screen (it's happened, not a pretty sight)

I am afraid of spelling "sauerkraut"

I am afraid of eating sauerkraut.

I am afraid of what Nintendo will do with the kooky design of their next game system.

I am afraid of the price of dual layer recordable DVD's.

I am afraid that Ethan is too phiggidy for his own good.

I am afraid of buying an HDTV because 720p is not natively supported for some retarded reason, and neither is 1080p. What da hizzell? HDTV should not conform to the lowest common denominator!

I am afraid that all things that are enjoyable are bad for you!

I am afraid of denists and needles, and I have an appointment with both tomorrow. Yipp-a-freakin-ee.

I am also afraid of heights. I remember my first job at a movie theatre with a large street facing marquee. I wanted to be the person in charge of getting up there and putting all the titles up. However when I got up to the top, I freaked out. There was only one steel beam to grab hold of and a large gap where anything and anyone could fall through. I chickened out, and the actual President of the company got up there and did it himself. I was very lucky I wasn't fired. But, it was opening weekend and they needed all the help they could get. I later became the manger of that theatre. Go figure. [Smile]

I'm afraid my beard utilized all of it's magical powers when it saved my face! [Frown]

I'm afraid I would have suffered disfiguring 3rd degree burns to my face, and looked like Freddy Krueger if I had not been wearing a full beard!!! [thumbsup]

I'm also afraid no one likes my new current member picture... [Confused]
