The Shawshank Redemption: According to Variety, The Shawshank Redemption will get a limited theatrical rerelease in eight cities for two weeks this fall in celebration of the film's 10th anniversary and to promote Warner Home Video's two-disc special DVD edition debuting on October 5.

The two-week theatrical run of "Shawshank" will begin Sept. 24 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and Austin.

Darabont said the DVD will include a new audio and video transfer of the film and two documentaries running a collective 90 minutes.

A limited edition box set ($44.99) will also include film historian Mark Kermode's book about the movie's production and popularity and the soundtrack CD of Thomas Newman's score.
