Here you go, folks. Only cool people can have studs in their eyeballs.

From da BBC

Fears raised over 'eye jewellery'
Studs are inserted under local anaesthetic
A new technique which allows jewellery to be inserted into the eye could be dangerous and should be avoided, say British ophthalmic experts.

The procedure to insert a tiny platinum jewel stud into the eyeball has been performed in The Netherlands.

The technique is harmless and carries no side effects, say its Dutch pioneers.

But UK eye specialists disagree and say it could be dangerous and may cause scarring and bleeding.

Specially developed jewellery is inserted into the eye's mucous membrane under a local anaesthetic eye drop, at a cost of about £330 (or 330 lbs in the US).

It involves inserting a 3.5mm-wide piece of platinum - that the eye will accept - and includes designs such as a glittering half-moon or heart.

I always make fun of people that have jewlery in their chin or cheeks. These people are just asking for a nice infection like Ken now has from meeting that pig.

Once I saw a guy with so may rings in his mouth that he HAD to look like a shower head when he tried to take a drink!
People are just sooooo stupid sometimes !

What happens when you move your pupil over the heart? Do you see the heart or can't you see at all in that spot? I demand someone here does it so I know the answers!

Um...it's attached to the eyeball and moves with it. Thus it is impossible to get in the way of the pupil.

It's bad enough when you have an eyelash in your eye....
I can't imagine how annoying this would feel. [Eek!]

You can pierce everything else(which i'm all for [thumbsup] ); this was the last place on the body that hadn't been tried.

What the heck is wrong with people? This is about as attractive as those nose studs that look like the person just finished blowing their nose and left a chunk of snot on the side of their nose.

Danny, I've never seen piercings coupling toes together, or a big loop through a testicle or perhaps a rod through the neck. [Razz]

If I can get a picture of it, I have a friend who had his head pierced. Well not through the skull, but rather had a series of piercings in his scalp all the way around to resemble the thorns that jesus wore to his death.

Is he deranged? WEll he does love hockey, so I have to say... yes.

Ciao

Dave

As many of yous know I have eyebrow rings & studs, nose rings & studs, ear rings & studs, etc... and a Prince Albert... but that's on a different thread.

Here is a pic of my best bud... I had to stop flying to Dallas with him cuz it was hell everytime we went thru the metal detector... I was embarrassed!

That's exactly what they want you to do. It's all for attention. There are even "body modification" morons out there, who chop off their fingers to get a rise out of people.

Completely ignore people who do stuff like this - to the point of invisibility. If they happen to jump in front of you, just look through them like they're not there.

Then, when they realize no one is hearing (or reacting to) their "statement", they'll feel stupid. After they realize they've damaged themselves for nothing, their real problem may manifest itself and they might get help. [Big Grin]
