The Union County Arts Center, which is actually the old RKO Rahway Theatre in Rahway NJ and now fully restored, is presenting a weekend of classic comedy films on their giant movie screen. All films will be presented in 35mm.

Friday 4/2 at 8:00pm - Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles. This over the top comedy western is still as funny today as it was back in 1974.

Saturday 4/3 at 2:30pm - Sons Of The Desert. Laurel and Hardy in one of their funniest films. Presented in a rare archival 35mm print.

Saturday 4/3 - Double Feature
  • 7:30pm - National Lampoon's Animal House. John Landis's wild comedy of the antics of a down and out campus fraternity. Starring John Belushi.
  • 9:30pm - The Blues Brothers. John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, James Brown, John Candy, Ray Charles, Carrie Fisher, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Henry Gibson, John Lee Hooker, and Twiggy just to name a few who appear in this comedy classic.
Sunday 4/4 at 2:30pm - It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Just about every big comedian from the golden age of motion pictures makes an appearence in this all star production. What a way to end a weekend.
