Actress and dancer Ann Miller passed away Thursday, January 22, 2004 at age 81(?). Great legendary star of the MGM studio and contract system. Lucky to have seen her on stage when she was touring in "Sugar Babies" with Mickey Rooney.

I think it was her that made an "in person" appearence at the 3D festival in LA this last summer. She was in Kiss me Kate in 3D. She looked great for her age then, if it's who I think it was.

It was Kathryn Grayson who appeared at the KISS ME KATE showing, accompanied by Tommy Rall (who was Miller's love interest in the film).

I was at the showing as well.

She was best known for her tap-dancing in more musicals than I can count. Always enjoyed her. She'll be missed. Good Grief! Just about my whole era has bit the dust.
