For car and motorcycle enthusiasts, The Discovery Channel has a new series of programs hosted by some of the best custom car and bike builders in the U.S. One of these programs is "Monster Garage". Lead by custome bike builder Jesse James, who is a decendent of the famous outlaw, the object of this program is for Jesse to pull together a pool of talent (a different group for each project) with the object of modifying various types of motive power into some pretty hideous monsters. The team is given 6 days, and a set $$ budget to complete the challenge, and if successful, each member of the team wins thousands of $$ in MAC Tools.

Well, they just aired one show with the object being to build the worlds fastest weenie wagon. Lord only knows how Paul Thompson missed out on this one?!! [Big Grin] [Eek!] [Big Grin]

What the group did was chopped up a tubular frame from a classic 1960's front engine sling-shot dragster, modified it with a Chevy big block dual quad with blower (which was donated) , and installed a brand new fully functional New York City weenie cart on the ass end. To make matters worse, the removed section of the dragster frame was used to make a wheelie bar!

After the wagon was built and given a custom paint job, it was taken to Las Vegas Motor Speedway to see if it could fulfill its objective!

The "Weenie Wagon" was put up against a top fuel funny car on the 1/4 mile strip. The objective being to see which car could deliever a hot weenie lunch to the pit crews first.

The top fuel funnycar gave the weenie wagon a massive head start, but quickly overtook it. BUT, the weenie wagon won, for the top-fuel driver had to depart his car for a trip to the roach-coach, while the "Weenie Wagon" made it back with weenies fully cooked! [Big Grin]

One funny thing to see in this show was when Jesse James loaded down the individual exhaust pipes with weenies, and then lit the engine off! [Big Grin] WEENNIES A FLYIN...INCOMMING!!
