Amazing. All of this time whenever my cat meowed, I heard nothing! Silence! Now I can actually hear the meow! I still have no idea what it means and ignore it though.

So, now, we get to HEAR:

"I'm hungry, feed me."
"Who are you? Get out of my face."
"Oh, no, really, I like you... now FEED me."

Would the gadget be needed to ascertain what this feline is saying?
Hopefully my mini dachshund "Max" does not see the picture, don`t want to give him ideas with the neighbours` cats!

If this software becomes std. equipment, in a couple years, like cell phones , I am in real trouble. ..I suppose I will then have to worry about what my cats are saying about all the movies I watch, the food I eat, what I wear around the house, all kinds of stuff.
You know dogs just could care less about those things, (and thats why I like dogs more) but I just know cats are secretly critiqing, reviewing and mentally cataloging, every move I make and every breath I take, maybe someone will invent the reverse translation software so they (the cats) can not only understand what I say, but also what I really mean. "Kitty" doesn't need any gadgets for us to know what she is saying: [Big Grin]

"I hate Josh! I hate Josh! Go away and leave me alone you brute Josh! I wish the hell I had claws, I'd show ya! I hate all of yous! I only like Brad, and sometimes Dwayne! I hate Josh!"

My beloved friend for almost fifteen years is not telling me anything anymore because he was put to sleep by our vet today because of kidney problems. He was a very beautiful orange and white tabby and his name was Blaze. I will miss him just as badly as Jerry when he passed away about 3 years ago also from kidney problems. Cats bring you so much joy when they are healthy but break your heart when they pass away. [Frown]

Ohh, I'm sorry to hear about that, Claude. I do know how much our pets mean to us, and they take a little bit of us with them when they leave. It certainly leaves an empty space.

I wish you well.

Claude,
Sad news indeed.
After having had a similar experience with a loved cat of many years, my wife and I adopted a pair of Siamese, thinking the pain would be lessened when one died. But when the male died at age 16, the female stopped eating and followed him after a short time, in spite of vet's care.
A year ago we adopted a pair of newborn kittens. "Cats are children with fur."
