Heard on CBS a bit ago that actor/comedian Buddy Hackett passed away today. I believe they said he was 78.
His best film, no doubt, was It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World.
Will be missed.

It is sad to see all these icons pass on. I wish his friends and family the best.

I remember him best from "The Music Man". Sad indeed. But we always have his films.

While installing a theatre in Aspen, CO., I was told by the locals that Hackett made his summer home in Snowmass, CO. And that he was also assistant fire chief over there..... Somehow I can certainly imagine Buddy hanging around the fire station... He would have fit that role to a tee!!
The world will miss him.

I really like "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World". I thought he was cast perfectly for the part as well as all the other actors...they all "clicked" together to make a great film.

He acted in several other films and on TV. So sad, another icon has passed.

Thankfully, he will live on in images for all to enjoy in the future.
