I was sitting here thinking about my days in the TV film department where I spent some of my favorite years. 1976-1986.

I was thinking about Louise Wilhite. She was a booker for Paramount Television back then. What a sweet lady! She was always trying to give us top-notch service with all the Paramount titles that we ran. Eventually, she started sending us new prints of everything that we booked.

In a similar vein, Anybody remember Roberta Classel at Bonded Services, LA? Hard lady who never put up with crap from any TV station film department. She became one of my favorite people in the business. I know she died of cancer around 1981. I always wanted to meet her. She told me tales of Samuel Goldwyn, and the days when the police were called if a print turned up missing. After her death, someone at Bonded called us in Nashville to tell us of her passing. He told us that she had our phone number and names posted by the phone. We were one of her favorite account contacts, he said. We sent flowers to her memorial service. They sent us pictures of the flower arrangements. She was one of the best. One of the unseen that was in control of quality film presentation.

These people are missed today in the industry.
