Tonight on HGTV, on the show "Extreme Homes" a fifteen minute segement was done on the Zippo house.

One thing that was stated I must disagree with. It was said about how much space needed, and the reply was along the lines of "you can't fit this in a normal house". Sorry, just not true, unless you are talking about a huge auditorium instead of just a "screening room".

I believe the show repeats tomorrow.

Jim no longer has the screening room in his house. That must've been shot years ago. He is completely out of film now. There are pictures in the warehouse here.

Thanks for the info Brad. [thumbsup]

That would explain why I've never seen him posting here or on any collector forums. Strange though, the show "Extreme Homes" is billed as a new show. They must have gotten that footage from some older show.

BTW, what is "HGTV"? What does that stand for? Anyone know what channel that is on DirecTV? I would be interested in seeing the segment.

HGTV is Home and Garden Television. It is from the same people that do the Food Channel. It's been around for awhile, and they do have some interesting shows.

Brad, if you weren't so damn cheap and would spring for a good DirecTV receiver, or learn how to operate the one you have, you would notice *that* HGTV is on channel 229. AND by highlighting the HGTV logo, it would let you know *that* HGTV is the "Home and Garden Television" network.

Tonight's show is some Alabama home on a boat. Oh well, if anyone sees the Zipporama one repeat, please post it so we can watch.

Thanks for the info Phil. Whatever would I do without you? [Razz]

I'm addicted to HGTV along with the Food Network. But I have now moved to my new house where I am going without TV for the Summer in hopes I will get the Landscaping done.

Ky tells me that HGTV stands for Homo and Gay Television. [Big Grin] His favorite are the Designer Guys, but I think they are the Discovery Home Channel.

This post with my new photo is doing nothing for my reputation. [Wink]

What I thought was this show was broadcast on HGTV yesterday evening. The installation was nice, with a lobby sporting a concession stand, and the room was large but with an uncomfortably low ceiling. The speakers appeared to be located in front of and on each side of the respectably-sized screen. Look in on http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/remodeling/article/0,1797,HGTV_3659_2026725,00.html for a peek at this basement conversion.

However, the episode that Danny was referring to is found at http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/remodeling/article/0,1797,HGTV_3659_1369296,00.html

Personally if I was one of those two people I wouldn't want the exposure it might give to posessing a very valualable film collection......
Too many others have learned the hard way......
