I have a SHARP "Sharpvision" model XVZ1E which runs quite well. The lamp is nearing the end of its useful life, so would anyone know if replacement lamps are easy to obtain and about how much.
It is a 250w metal halide type.
Does the unit need to go to a Sharp dealer as the unit has an inbuilt hour meter which would need to be zeroed, as at 2000 hrs the lamp cannot be struck.

Just call Sharp customer service and ask them which buttons to push to zero out the hour meter.

Dear Ian.
Would you know the web-site address of Sharp or be able to post a link. I tried e-mailing them some time back but no reply.

You will probably find that when you change the lamp the hour meter resets...if not most projectors have a meter reset function in their menus.
