5:15 am in London, and I''m about to leave home. In about 20 hours time (allowing for the time difference) I will be at tonight's show at the Loew's Jersey. It seems that air travel is at just the wrong speed, if it were much faster, I could get there faster and more easily. If it were much slower, like an old ocean liner crossing, then the journey itself would be much more restful, and at least I could take a walk on deck to get some air, and sleep on board. Air travel seems to be the worst of all worlds, and it's really boring. Oh well, Gatwick airport here I come.

You could also strap yourself to a rocket and aim yourself carefully for America (from your location roughly south west). Make sure to inform authorities of your travel plans so you are not taken out by missile defence systems. Dress warmly.

20 Hours???
It's five hour earlier here than in London and it's about a 7 1/2 hour flight, depending upon headwind.

An 8:20 am flight from Heathrow gets into NY at 11am local time (4pm London time).
