This is especially for all your Northwesterners out there:
The Seattle Times ran a story today the Northgate Theatre has now become THE NORTHGATE MUSIC THEATRE and apparently will not be torn down. A couple rented the theatre from the shopping mall and are going to put on music concerts starting this Saturday. I wonder what they did to get rid of the rat population that infested the theatre earlier.
Also, I heard tonight LAWRENCE OF ARABIA is going to open at Landmark's Egyptian Theatre next week in 70MM mag. WOW! The Cinerama run, which was 70 DTS, ends Thursday. I hear also that business was great at the Cinerama even though AMC screwed up the ads for about 3 days.
