Just a general reminder to forum members regarding the new picture uploading feature. Please do NOT upload "junk" pictures. By that I mean do not upload pictures that are of no use to the discussion of the thread. All this does is waste bandwidth (which I pay for) and slow down loading times for people trying to surf the forums.

Unacceptable uploads include:
*Any animated gifs, unless showing how something works as relevant to the thread. (I saw an animated gif of the guts of an intermittent working. This is acceptable SO LONG AS the thread is discussing it.)

*Any cutsie useless crap, again unless it is relevant to the thread.

Acceptable uploads include:
*Anything at all you want to upload to the thread "upload your forum pictures" to be used as testing.

*Pictures relating to the discussion of a thread. (I do not have a problem with joke pictures and such like may be found in the Bob Maar or Yak forum.) As an example, Randy has a thread going about his new house. If he wants to upload pictures relevant to the discussion (closeness to the airport, or electrical wiring or some design of the house that is being discussed), then that is fine.

Just please everyone do not upload things for a discussion like "I drive 40 miles to work each day", and then include a picture of a car driving down a road. This is useless! We all know that to drive to work each day means to drive an automobile. Again, this just wastes bandwidth and slows down the forums for everyone.

Another way to look at it is to ask yourself "do I really NEED to upload a picture to make my post clear?" If the answer is "no" or "probably not", then do not do it.
