JEFF,

Is it true that in Colorado Joe R. is known by his friends and family as " My Dog Skip?"

Bob,

I guess the word is really getting out! I've also been told from various women on the street that Joe's all time favorite movie is Glitter. [Eek!] Joe really needs to get out more!

Maybe Joe just wants to torture some small rodents with Mariah Carey's high pitched squeals. Hey, I might do that if I had any pet rats. Mariah's breast implants are kind of cool. [eyes]

Anyone spot anything wrong with this thread up or with this machine in general?

 -

And can anyone tell me anything about this rewind set-up? All I know is that it came out of a sister theatre that closed some years agao and I thought it'd be a good novelty backup to have just in case .

What happens when the boss gets loose?
 -

And yes this is, of course, a real Mandril. It is, in fact, the same Mandril that was in Ace Ventura back in '97?

Jason,

In the photo above it looks as though the pad roller clearance through the Cat 700 reader is set with too much tension. Did I guess right? Do I win some kind of prize?

Well it looks to me like the M35GP is a pretty messed up machine. Not only are the pad rollers set to 1.5 layers of film tension as to a bit over two like Jeff noted, but the film is threaded out of frame and does not feature the proper DTS timecode for the discs that are in the machine. Also, the film is scope yet you are using a flat lens.

These are almost exactly like the machines that used to be in the old UA corporate screening room that I ran a few times back in the day.
