Please note that when starting a chat, you may have to sit patiently for up to 3 minutes for people's browsers to refresh the chat room monitor and realize you are in there. Usually though, someone else will jump on in.

Also, if someone is on the chat room monitor, but isn't in the room when you enter, either your monitor screen hasn't refreshed yet or they did not click the "logout" button when they left the room. The "auto-timeout" has been extended to 15 minutes at the request of members.
