Does anyone have a shareware program or a Photoshop plugin to create icons? I would like to design some icons based on our company logo but I can't find a freeware program to do it. Or is there a way to just rename a bitmap? If so, what size/resolution do you need? Any help is appreciated!

What kind of icons are you talking about? If you mean Windows icons I think you will need to convert them to a VWF or something like that file. Adobe Illustrator can do it. Dunno about Photoshop... probably not.

You can get a PS plugin (called icon builder) or an app. It will even make Windows icons.

(What I would DO with Windows icons beats the shit out of me... )
