I've mentioned before that I enjoy watching the goings-on at the "news" site Rense.com. I find the alternate points of view stimulating and often see them as a fresh perspective on the freshly laundered news we get from CNN and other sources supported by media moguls and big business.

At the same time, I take the reportings of this site with a football sized grain of salt, because it is a site that has no particular editorial standards and it is more than willing to post "news" from anyone with a gripe.

I have been totally enjoying the idiotic far left wing and anti-American attempts to spin the news there recently, and think it is too entertaining to miss. According to various reports, we are on the verge of nuclear war, have 24 men shot down in a helicopter, have Chinese fighting on the Taliban side, have Putin calling for all good Russians to stay out of the U.S. because of some secret planned attack, are being invaded by UFOs, etc..

I heartily recommend visiting the site now (especially recommended for younger viewers) to see exactly what propaganda bullshit looks like. The current few weeks of reports are truly a lesson worthy of history books. Single grains of questionable fact are expanded into semi-plausable and not-so-plausable terror stories. Read, analyze and learn the techniques of deception and misinformation, because you are bound to see them in the future. After reading a few articles, you'll better understand my feeling that healthy skepticism and a sense of humor are required skills for any informed individual.
