PBS just ran an excellent multi part film about the history of New York. Did anyone see it?

Yes, and I recorded both evenings. Found the history of Robert Moses and how his passion to build roads and tear down buildings in the name of "urban renewal" almost ruined the city very facinating. Some probably appreciated the Federal money and construction jobs he brought to the state, but many were evicted from their homes and ethnic neighborhoods as the price of "progress".

I only saw the half featuring Robert Moses, and Mayor LaGuardia. I was extremely facinated by all the beautiful film images of old New York.

I'm considering purchasing the videos.
