I know it's premature, but WHAT from this year could be Oscar material? It, by most standars, has not been a good year content-wise, so the question stands, what will be winners, even nominees, for the big 3 (Movie, Actor, Actress)?

So few movies of any real quality... but here is a try....

Best Picture...Memento

Best Actor...Tim Roth

Best Actress...Nobody yet

Best Screenplay...Fast and Furious

Best Score...Lord of the rings

Best Waste of time...Tomb Raider

Just a guess... cant even remember what came out anyway...

I think its too early still. While there are some obvious ones,
Memento for best original screenplay, Moulin rouge for costumes, music etc, we still have movies coming out by great directors, Oceans 11 (soderbergh), Gangs of ny (scorsese sp?) Of course harry potter and lotr did anyone catch the newest trailer Wow wowowowowowowowowow, also ali and windtalkers also looking great too.
