Since there are many people who want to display the American flag as per the President's proclamation, you may find it difficult to find on in your local stores. I wasn't able to find a suitable one, at the price I wanted to pay so I decided to take the matter into my own hands... I made my OWN!

I searched the internet and came up with the following images:

Please feel free to copy them to your computer, print them out and display them as you wish. I went to Office Depot and bought a package of clear adhesive labels.
(Avery # 8665) I printed them out in several different sizes and cut them to size.
The images above should easily resize up to a full sheet of 8.5 by 11 inch paper without too much loss of resolution.

One reminder: Please remember to obey the Flag Code when displaying an American flag!

Let's show our colors, people!

Thanks to one of our managers (who is a National Guardsman), a 6'x10' American Flag now proudly hangs from the lobby of my theatre... As soon as I get a digital camera, I'll post a pic..

Thank you for the images of the American flags which are being displayed at our cinema.

As regular visitors to your country we are extremely shocked and saddened. My wife and I, and family extend our deep felt condolences.

Only last November I visited the 110th floor Observation Deck of the South Tower. This week we are showing MGMs “Heartbreakers” which has footage of the World Trade Centre Towers.

In light of all that has been going on lately, whatever happened to those "National Anthem" trailors that featured a flag and the national anthem being played? I think we should bring those back, or make a new one.

Just a thought,

Josh

Derek Maxwell has vintage ones from the 40s and 60s for sale both at his site, and on Ebay.

They still play the national anthem trailers on theatres on Military bases, as I'm sure this comes as no suprise. IMHO the national anthem is sorly missing from today's society, how many of today's school children can recite the Pledge of Allegiance? I am glad to see patriotism returning, but it is such a shame that it took a horrible incident such as this to bring people together.

We've got a 6' by 10' flag hanging in our lobby too. It's the first time that we've really paid notice to the world outside our theater. I'm proud of the change.

What I find terrible is that I saw small plastic flags (not bigger than ten inches across at a grocery store here in MN for TWO DOLLARS APEICE!! They give those out for free at parades! This is profiteering at its worst!

Unfortunately, he only sells on 16.
Maybe they should make a new one featuring Lee Greenwod's "I'm Pround to be and American"

Dont forget that if you are going to show the flag, make sure it says made in USA on it and not china or taiwan.

thats just stupid that some people think our own flag has to be made in another country

The actual title is "God Bless the U.S.A.". (MCA single 52386,
Billboard Country Chart peak #7, chart debut May 26, 1984, on chart 17 weeks.)

I'm surprised that I haven't heard that song on the radio since the tragedy.

"The Fightin' Side of Me" by Merle Haggard (Capitol single 2719, Country debut February 7, 1970, peak #1, on chart for 14 weeks) is another that I've been surprised not to hear.

I have been looking for an American flag in every store in our area. There just are none to be had. I was told by one store that the flags are soon to be on their way.But when? I have never seen flags or anything else for that matter sell out so fast.I'm very happy and proud that so many people have purchased the flags . Hopefully enough are being manufactured so that we may all get one.

Happy to say that I not only already had a flag to proudly fly, but I was able to lend a slightly worn older one to a neighbor. We have Lebanese-born and Indian-born friends who recently became American citizens, and they are very sad that terrorism has come to America too.

One idea if you can't find a flag to display would be to take one of Randy's flag images, and project it onto a wall or screen as a photographic slide.

Hey! Not a bad idea, John!
Anybody still have one of those gobo lights that Fox used to send out to promote movies? (Like the ones they sent for X-Files.)

Paramount should capitalize on that gobo too! They've gotta have some of those Tomb Raider lights left lying around.
