T he World Trade Center towers are no more apparently.
It appears that two hijacked planes have struck both towers.
One plane apparently has struck the Pentagon & another has crashed near Pittsburgh.

I think it is time for us to roll up our sleeves and kick ass. I am deeply saddened. According to the news, the WTC towers did collapse. The loss of life is expected to be very high.

I am numb.

This has got to be the most tragic day in history,watching the Home of the Free subjected to an horrific act of WAR ,its like another Pearl Harbour a crippling blow to freedom through out the world, a SAD Day indeed .

Truly, another day that will live in infamy. This was not only an attack on the United States, it was an attack on civilization. The world will not be the same again.

Remember the thousands of innocent people that died today, or will carry the physical and emotional scars of this depraved and senseless act forever.

I am old enough to remember Pearl Harbor, although not old enough to have been in the military during WWll. I can remember that the bombing at Pearl Harbor made every American "Plum Pissed Off". After that we all got togeather and made the world a little safer place for free people. Even I as a child picked Milk weed pods to fill Navy life preservers with. Everyone ws proud to be and American and worked selflessly to win the war. There used to be a slogan "Remember Pearl Harbor". I wonder if someone will come up with a new bumper sticker "Remember The Trade Center". It could be a thought to bring Americans together and renew the ideals that this country was built on.---------Thanks---------Joe Ritter---------

Greetings to all of our members. I will not be posting any jokes for awhile due to today's events in NYC and Washington D.C.

I left NYC thismorning at 6A.m. as I usually do and drove to my office in Connecticut. I can not get back into the city tonight as Manhattan has been sealed off. Only emergency vehicles are going in and out.

It is 2PM here and I just received confirmation that my daughter is safe. So all my family members are accounted for. Thank God.
I don't know how many people died today but my guess is thousands.

I believe this was an attack on America and on the liberties that we enjoy as americans. I do put it right up there with Pearl Harbor.

Judging by the reactions of those people who I have spoken to today, is this has united the people of the United States. Mass, Ct., NJ., and Pa have sent emergency personnel to help with the injured and allow others to get some rest. People from Nebraska are sending refrigerated trucks with Plasma and blood.( NY ran out this morning before 12 noon)I will donate a pint later this afternoon at a hospital in Danbury, Ct.

Tent Hospitals are being constructed on the pier's around Manhattan as well in the parks. Doctors are coming in from around the country to help our citizens.

Make no mistake these terrorist's will be caught and will be executed.

Bob, good to know you and your family are safe.

To use John McCain's words (and they have been echoed by many other US Senior Officials), "...this is an act of war."

I know this is unimportnat, but theatres are closing down, but not nescessarily of their own will. Our theatre closed today because General Growth Properties is shutting down all 145 of its malls for the day.
